Jong Utrecht booked a business victory in the Kitchen Champion Division on Monday evening. At De Herdgang, the team of trainer Ricky Kruys was too strong for Jong PSV: 0-2. A striking presence in the stadium was Phillip Cocu, who has been linked to the vacant vacancy at PSV since the announced departure of Roger Schmidt. Thanks to the victory, Jong FC Utrecht climbs to twelfth place in the ranking for the time being; the Eindhoven promises are still ninth.
The most important absentee on the side of Jong PSV was Mathias Kjölö, who was struggling with physical complaints and was not fit in time for kick-off. Furthermore, the most notable present was Cocu. Before the duel, ESPN the clubless coach in conversation with PSV watcher Rik Elfrink on camera. Young PSV had the highest percentage of ball possession in the first company, but the team of coach Ruud van Nistelrooij was unable to get the ball in the desired zone. The Utrecht U23 team was dangerous on the counter several times and found the opening goal after a few misses in the 38th minute of play. After a deep pass from the back, Jenson Seelt was trumped near his own sixteen-meter area by Gabriël Çulhaci, who delivered a low cross to Mees Rijks. The latter was able to tap in from close range: 0-1.
In the second act the game image was almost equal to the proportions on the field before half time. Young PSV had the ball, but the visitors had their chances. The home side’s hopes of a good result were dashed in the 82nd minute of play, when Sylian Mokono beautifully made it 0-2. The substitute put Jeremy Antonisse off the ball, passed Mohammed Amin Doudah around and then shot the ball into the bottom right corner from approximately 25 meters.
