Ousmane Dembélé has not made himself popular with his trainer Ronald Koeman in a short time, so reports Deportes Cuatre. The wing striker arrived 15 minutes late on Monday at the Ciudad Deportiva sports complex for the Barcelona training. It is the second time in a short time that Dembele reports too late at the club, the Spanish TV channel writes.

Koeman is known for his fairly disciplinary approach. The brand-new trainer introduced the rule at Barcelona that players must report to the training complex at least one hour before the start of the training. Dembele did not comply with this and therefore reported fifteen minutes late. Two weeks ago, the 23-year-old Frenchman also arrived too late, to the annoyance of Koeman.

It is not the first time that Dembele has been in the news due to a lack of discipline. In 2018, the winger was fined by trainer Ernesto Valverde, after reporting two hours late to a walk-out practice. National coach Didier Deschamps of France has also commented on Dembele’s problem behavior. “I apologize if he is late,” Deschamps assured. Spanish media already speculated about the gaming habits of Dembele, who would play Fortnite for nights on end.

Barcelona started the new season in LaLiga on Sunday. Koeman’s team effortlessly settled in the empty Camp Nou with Villarreal, which was played 4-0 off the mat. Dembélé was allowed to fill in 21 minutes before time for Ansu Fati, but the attacker was unable to distinguish himself in that time frame.
