West Ham United have signed Nicola Vlasic, the Premier League club confirms. Pay according to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano the Hammers thirty million euros to CSKA Moscow. The transfer fee can increase by another eight million due to variables. Vlasic’s transfer has implications for the future of Jesse Lingard, who appears to be staying at Manchester United.

West Ham United manager David Moyes had been looking for an attacking midfielder for some time. 26-time Croatian international Vlasic came into the picture during this transfer period and can now call himself a player of the Premier League club. West Ham confirm that the purchase has signed a five-year deal. Although the club does not mention the amount of the transfer fee, Romano knows that it concerns a maximum amount of 38 million euros.

Vlasic was trained by Hajduk Split and also broke through at the Croatian top club. In 2017 Everton became convinced of his qualities and paid the Toffees more than ten million euros for the midfielder. The collaboration was never a great success. A year after his arrival, he was leased to CSKA Moscow, which took him over in mid-2019 for more than fifteen million euros. In Russia, he scored a total of 28 league goals in the past three seasons.

West Ham brings in the desired attacking midfielder with him. Lingard was in the picture for a long time. The England international played on a rental basis in London for the past six months and made a good impression during that period. He was linked in the English media with a permanent move to West Ham, but with the transfer of Vlasic, that no longer seems an option.
