Two more incidents involving supporters took place on Friday evening. In the Premier League game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United (2-3) an intruder unsuccessfully tried to tie himself to a goalpost with his neck, as happened the day before at Everton – Newcastle United. Almost simultaneously, a supporter at the Bundesliga game between VfL Bochum and Borussia Mönchengladbach threw a plastic cup of beer at close range on the head of assistant referee Christian Gittelmannn, who sat down on the grass, shocked. “A very embarrassing and bitter evening for us,” Bochum wrote on Twitter. “An extremely stupid move by an idiot fan.”

After a scoreless halftime score, Gladbach scored twice in a row in a time frame of seven minutes via Alassane Pléa and Breel Embolo: 0-2. That was apparently difficult for a Bochum fan, who threw beer at linesman Gittelmann. The assistant referee briefly sat down on the grass and rubbed his hand over the back of his head, after which he indicated to referee Benjamin Cortus that he was not injured. The German Football Association decided that the match would not be completed on Friday.

Almost simultaneously, an incident took place in England with a demonstrator, who wanted to imitate the bizarre action of the day before at Everton – Newcastle United (1-0). It didn’t get that far, however, because security caught the man in his collar before he could tie himself to the post with a tie-wrap. Incidentally, the demonstrator entered the field with the same motive: to call for a stop with oil.

Apart from that incident, the supporters were also shown a match full of spectacle, in which Leeds completed a miraculous comeback. Wolverhampton started well and took the lead via Jonny, who took advantage of Stuart Dallas slipping: 1-0. Trincão layman the Wolves in stoppage time of the first half of sixteen meters controlled to shoot roses: 2-0. Everything changed shortly after the break, however, when Raúl Jiménez was sent off with his second yellow red due to a collision with goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

Leeds went on the attack and quickly equalized. Luke Ayling ( shot at the post, after which Jack Harrison tapped in (2-1) and Rodrigo cleverly outplayed goalkeeper José Sa and was able to walk in: 2-2. It was only the 66th minute, but Leeds needed until injury time to The winner was Ayling, who picked up the ball in a crowded penalty area and didn’t hesitate: 2-3. For Leeds, who are battling relegation, it’s three very welcome points.
