NAC Breda has achieved an important victory in the Kitchen Champion Division with a view to the play-offs for promotion. Jong PSV were somewhat defeated on their own field: 2-0. Martin Koscelník headed Jean-Paul van Gastel's team into the lead in the first half. Ten minutes before the end, Aimé Omgba made the decision. The victory makes the play-offs almost certain for the people of Breda.

Both teams opened sloppily in the Rat Verlegh Stadium, but the first chance was for NAC. After a good return from Elías Már Ómarsson, the chance was for Dominik Janosek, but the Czech missed it completely.

Halfway through the first half, NAC once again showed that it can be deadly through standard situations. After 26 minutes, Koscelník headed home a corner kick from Janosek at the first post: 1-0. After that, Jong PSV had the best of the game for a long time.

Before half time, this resulted in one really big opportunity for the Eindhoven team, with Pepijn van de Merbel having to take action. After a nice combination, Emir Bars found himself in front of the 22-year-old goalkeeper, who had a nice reflex from close range.

After the break, the visitors increasingly took the initiative in the search for the equalizer, with NAC mainly looking for the counter. Enzo Geerts came closest to the equalizer with a deflected shot. His bet just missed.

Jong PSV no longer created great opportunities and it was NAC that became increasingly dangerous in the transition. First it was Casper Staring who shot just over from the edge of the sixteen. Moments later, substitute Omgba made it 2-0 after putting Jan Van den Bergh back.

With the victory, the people of Breda took a big step towards the play-offs for promotion to the Eredivisie. With two games to go, Van Gastel's team is in a safe seventh place, with one win guaranteeing them a place in the play-offs.
