Miralem Pjanic takes the opportunity to hit Ronald Koeman again. The midfielder, who felt unwanted at Barcelona and was loaned to Besiktas last summer, does not think Koeman is the right man to help Barca get back on track.

“Barcelona is going through a difficult period”, Pjanic also concludes in conversation with beIN Sports. “The results are not as good as the fans expect, and that puts pressure on the players. Perhaps this team needs a good leader to get it back on track,” the Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder clearly sneered at Koeman .

Pjanic still finds it hard to bear that he was ignored by Koeman. “I still don’t know exactly what he wanted, he never tried to explain it to me and didn’t think about a solution.” Still, Pjanic sees light at the end of the tunnel for Barça. “Barcelona will return to their old level, they are always one of the biggest four or five clubs in the world, but that will take some time.”

It is not the first time that Pjanic lashes out at Koeman. At the beginning of September, the routine reproached Koeman in an extensive interview with marca that he never had a decent conversation with him. “I arrived two weeks later than the rest,” said Pjanic of his early stint with Barcelona last summer. “Slowly but surely I started to increase the training intensity to prepare for the physical game the coach wanted to play. Two, three, four, seven, ten days passed and the coach never came to talk about what he had learned from the season. and expected from me, or to just chat and introduce myself to the squad. Like the rest of the trainers do. Very strange, but okay.”
