Jorge Messi will be in talks with Inter Miami in the coming hours about a possible transfer of Lionel Messi, transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Wednesday evening. The father and agent of the Paris Saint-Germain attacker is said to have had several talks with the MLS club, but an agreement has not yet been reached. Although Inter Miami seems to have little chance, they still want to try to tempt Messi into a switch.

Earlier in the day, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, among others, announced that the Argentine superstar will leave PSG after this season anyway. In addition, Messi has an offer from Al-Hilal: in Saudi Arabia he could earn an annual salary of around 400 million euros. Lionel Messi is currently said to be in the Riyadh area for talks with Al-Hilal, while his father is in talks with Inter Miami, a twenty-hour flight away.

Inter Miami’s renewed interest in Messi is no surprise. In February, trainer Phil Neville reached out to talk to The Times not under chairs or benches to bring the Argentinian, together with Sergio Busquets, to the club of owner David Beckham. “I will not deny that we are interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets,” said Neville.

According to reports from Di Marzio, Inter Miami knows that the chances of bringing in Messi are relatively limited. On the one hand, Al-Hilal has offered an unbeatable salary, while Messi, on the other hand, prefers to continue playing in Europe. Barcelona is also working hard to find a financial construction to bring back the superstar.
