Should Kylian Mbappé decide not to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the club wants to sell the 22-year-old attacker anyway, it reports. Le Parisien. According to the French newspaper, PSG considers Mbappé’s contract situation to be ‘uncomfortable’ and the patience of technical director Leonardo and president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is running out.

Mbappé has a contract until mid-2022 and PSG is committed to not allowing his star player to leave on a free transfer. According to Le Parisien the Frenchman must yield between 120 and 150 million euros if he does not want to renew. An amount that is much lower than the 180 million euros that PSG itself paid to AS Monaco in 2017 for the services of Mbappé. Real Madrid seems to be most emphatically interested at the moment.

Leonardo previously expressed his frustration about the difficult contract negotiations with the attacker. “We have been talking for a long time, everyone knows what we want,” said the Brazilian director. At the same time, Mbappé said on Wednesday that he had not yet made a decision about his future. “If progress had been made, I would have said something about it for a long time”, Mbappé stated after the win with France against Bosnia-Herzegovina (1-0) to the French. RTL. “Of course I’ll talk about it when I’ve made a final decision.”

PSG is now considering the possible departure of Mbappé, for which the French superpower wants to attract a replacement. Erling Braut Haaland, who now seems to be in the spotlight of the entire European top, is one of the options. Borussia Dortmund’s asking price is said to be 150 million euros, an amount that could be coughed up with the proceeds from Mbappé. PSG is also considering attracting Sergio Agüero, who will leave Manchester City on a free transfer next summer.
