ESPN analysts believe that Ajax loses tactically to PSV. Kenneth Perez and Marciano Vink see halfway through the top match in the Johan Cruijff ArenA that the people of Eindhoven wait patiently and the home team outsmarts. Luuk de Jong took care of the only goal halfway through the first company: 0-1.

PSV started the match convincingly and quickly put Ajax under pressure, but it was the home team that scored the first chances. Steven Berghuis and Edson Álvarez, among others, handed out a pinprick, although their respective attempts did not result in a goal. It was scored on the other side. Cody Gakpo made a turning in from the left to Luuk de Jong, who outsmarted Calvin Bassey and tapped in at the first post: 0-1. On the stroke of the halftime signal, Mohammed Kudus hoped to score the equalizer; however, his effort hit the post.

“It’s a tactical match”, begins Arnold Bruggink, who is also present. “It is also a boring game. It is mainly up to Ajax to see how the wandering Xavi Simons should be taken care of.” Although Ajax scored more goal attempts, Vink does not think the lead for PSV is unjustified. “I think PSV has a much more confident appearance. Tadic should actually go after Mwene and is playing football in the zone. Ajax does not look good tactically. You play at home and you have so many attacking players on the field.”

“Apathetic actually,” Perez responds while looking at the images from the first half. “Ajax plays very hesitantly, despite all the attackers on the field. Brilliant goal from PSV. For this they were at the ball for a minute and they made sure that Ajax lost patience and made mistakes,” said the analyst.
