Manchester United are reportedly interested in Joselu's services Relevo to report on Thursday. Two representatives from the English top club were already in Madrid to talk about Joselu, who is rented from Espanyol and seems to be hoping for an extended stay at Real Madrid.

With the arrival of the new management at Manchester United, the club wants to determine in the coming months where manager Erik ten Hag's selection needs new impulses. It is clear that the board is of the opinion that reinforcement is needed in some positions, including the striker position.

The two Manchester United representatives, who have not been named, have been traveling around Spain in recent weeks with the aim of learning more about players' situations and options for the transfer market this summer. One of the names on the list is Joselu. The attacker is rented by Real Madrid from Espanyol, where he is contracted until mid-2025.

The 34-year-old German-born Spaniard is playing a very creditable season for the title favorite. Joselu has scored thirteen goals and three assists to date the Royal. Joselu indicated at an earlier stage that he would like to continue playing for Real Madrid. Trainer Carlo Ancelotti is also pleased with his performance, but a final decision has yet to be made. Manchester United may be able to benefit from this.

At Manchester United, Rasmus Højlund seems to be the number one striker for the time being. The Dane, who came over from Atalanta last summer, had a difficult start at Old Trafford, but is now loose. Manchester United are interested in Joselu because the striker meets the necessary characteristics that they want to see at Old Trafford: a good physique, good finishing and the ability to play with his back to goal.

That Manchester United needed a new striker became clear in the period between the end of February and the beginning of March. Højlund had to miss four matches during that period due to injuries and Ten Hag felt forced to station Marcus Rashford in the point. With the arrival of an extra attacker, Ten Hag would no longer have to change his team, as is the case in the absence of Højlund.

Anthony Martial is also currently injured and when he is fit, he is not always convincing. The Frenchman, who was loaned out to Sevilla last season, has an expiring contract and it is expected that the paths between the two parties will finally part next summer.
