Lille OSC took a new step towards the championship in Ligue 1 on Saturday. The team of Christophe Galtier settled without any problems with OGC Nice, which did not even manage to produce one shot: 2-0. Sven Botman played the entire match at Lille, while Kasper Dolberg made ninety minutes at Nice. Leader Lille has a one point lead over Paris Saint-Germain three games before the end.

Within fifteen minutes, Lille was in the lead. Jonathan David allowed himself to be played with his back to the goal and prepared for Yilmaz, who shot from about twenty meters. The shot of the Turkish attacker ended up low in the side netting: 1-0. Lille then retained total control of the game and had one more chance in the first half. David cleared himself pretty well in the box, but drove the ball high over.

OGC Nice had nothing to say in the first half and that got worse when Jordan Lotomba received his second yellow card three minutes after the break. Lille then decided the game in a beautiful way early in the second half. Zeki Çelik waited on the edge of the penalty area for a knocked-off cross and completed the ball beautifully with the instep. Yilmaz then hit the post, but otherwise nothing worth mentioning happened.
