Stade Rennes has Mohamed Ihattaren on the radar, it claims Foot Mercato. The current leader of the Ligue 1 would like to bring the eighteen-year-old attacking midfielder to France. The club has to dig deep into its pockets for a possible transfer, because Foot Mercato refers to an amount of at least twenty million euros.

Under Mark van Bommel and Ernest Faber, Ihattaren was a permanent member of the starting team of the main force of PSV. However, since the arrival of Roger Schmidt to Eindhoven, the youngster is no longer assured of a basic place. The ‘difficult relationship’ between Ihattaren and the German coach could herald a transfer to Stade Rennes, it sounds.

It remains to be seen to what extent the reporting from France is correct. For the time being, Dutch media have not reported anything about the interest of Stade Rennes. The club is currently in the lead in Ligue 1. After five rounds of play, the club is on thirteen points. In addition to Ihattaren, the eighteen-year-old winger Gabriel Veron of Palmeiras would also be on Rennes’ list.

Reportedly, Rennes has already contacted the entourage of the Palmeiras attacker to see if a transfer is possible. Veron will be stuck in Brazil until the summer of 2025. Palmeiras would ask at least 25 million euros for the youngster, who is also in the interest of, among others, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Benfica.
