Wim Kieft doesn't like Paris Saint-Germain, as becomes more than clear in the podcast KieftJansenEgmondGijp of this week. The analyst finds it particularly scandalous how the French champion has dealt with Kylian Mbappé, who will soon leave Paris and will probably continue at Real Madrid.

“It's also a shitty club in the end, that Paris Saint-Germain,” said the surprised Kieft. “Such a person should be honored, man. The great things he has done, that Mbappé.”

The attacker won the French national title six times and the national cup three times with PSG. The big dream, winning the Champions League, never became reality. Mbappé scored 256 goals in 307 games in the PSG shirt.

René van der Gijp laughs at Kieft's swipe at PSG and then gives in. “I am not familiar with the French mentality and the people there. Maybe it is different in the south of France.”

“That's a nasty club, that Paris Saint-Germain,” Kieft continues to grumble. “That just buys everything away and has no identity whatsoever. They again did not reach the Champions League final. So money is not everything.” PSG was unable to cope with Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final over two matches, which had to deal with Real Madrid in the final.

Mbappe

Mbappé had an argument with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi on Sunday before his last match at Paris Saint-Germain, it was reported. Le Parisien announced on Monday. According to the Paris newspaper, Al-Khelaïfi was angry because he was not mentioned by the star attacker in his farewell video. There would have been shouting back and forth.

The PSG president is convinced that Mbappé deliberately did not mention him in the video in which the Frenchman says goodbye to his club. The discussion prior to the match against Toulouse resulted in a shouting argument.

The star striker, who has been linked to Real Madrid several times, confirmed his departure from Paris this week through a video message on his social media channels. Mbappé has a continuous contract with PSG until 2024, which he can unilaterally extend for a year. However, that will not happen, the Frenchman emphasized.
