In 2022, football players and clubs are more active than ever on social media. Top players such as Lionel Messi, Memphis Depay, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but also clubs from home and abroad give an insight into the ins and outs (almost) daily via Instagram, Twitter or other internet channels. Football zone put the craziest, most beautiful and most striking posts on social media in the VZ Social section.

Kaká ran his first marathon ever in Berlin on Sunday afternoon. After ending his career in 2017, the forty-year-old Brazilian had the ambition to run a marathon for years and chose to do so in the German capital. The ex-midfielder of Real Madrid and AC Milan, among others, set a good time in Berlin: 3.38.06.

With that, Kaká was almost two minutes faster than his target: 3.40.00. In the first half of his marathon, Kaka ran 1.47.07, while the second part finished in a time of 1.50.59. On Sunday, a world record was also run in Berlin: Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 2.01.09. Via Twitter, Kaká reacts frantic to his afternoon in Germany.

Arjen Robben, with whom Kaká did not play together at Real during his career, ran his first marathon in Rotterdam in April of this year. The 38-year-old Groninger finished on the Coolsingel with a great time of 3.13.40. Opposite it General Newspaper Robben reacted a lot less enthusiastically than Kaká. “Not fun, it really wasn’t fun. I made it, but that’s about it. I often went deep and had to fight often enough, but this was also a real fight.”
