Juventus have won the Torino city derby with minimal difference. La Vecchia Signora played a bad game, but managed to win the game in the second half with a goal from Dusan Vlahovic. The win moves Juventus to seventh place in Serie A, while Torino remains in the middle of the table.

Perr Schuurs started in the base with Torino, which started with five defenders. Former PSV player Ricardo Rodríguez was also posted in the back. Aleksey Miranchuk and Nemanja Radonjic had to create the danger up front. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri had Leonardo Bonucci and ex-Ajacied Arkadiusz Milik start on the bench. Vlahovic and Moise Kean formed the forward couple, while Juan Cuadrado on the right and Filip Kostic on the left had to provide supply from the wings.

Very little happened in the Stadio Olimpico in the first half hour. Radonjic tried with two shots, but they turned out to be harmless. Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny had to take action after fifteen minutes on a shot by Miranchuk. The Pole, however, had little trouble with the Ukrainian’s attempt. Then Juventus seemed to wake up and got the chance to open the score after Rodríguez’s sloppy loss of the ball. Kean received the ball after a quick switch and passed it to Vlahovic. The Serb came face to face with Torino goalkeeper and compatriot Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, with the latter coming out victorious. The goalkeeper also managed to parry an attempt by Manuel Locatelli in the rebound.

After the break it was again Locatelli who had a chance to open the score. The Italian international saw the ball land at his feet and tried to pass Milinkovic-Savic with a bouncing shot. The goalkeeper of il Grande Toro turned out to have an answer to that as well. Torino reacted in the person of Nikola Vlasic, who sent the ball towards the bottom right corner. However, Szczesny had a good save. The ban was finally broken in the 74th minute. From a corner, Danilo headed the ball through to the far post, where Vlahovic was able to tap in uncovered: 0-1. Torino was unable to cause any danger in the final phase.
