Justin Kluivert exchanged AS Roma for RB Leipzig on Deadline Day. Those Roten Bullen initially hire the attacker for a season from the Romans and they also have the option of recruiting him permanently next year. Kluivert has already trained with his new employer in recent days and may make his official debut next Saturday.

Leipzig will then take on FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga and trainer Julian Nagelsmann sees a number of internationals returning to the club late. However, this does not mean that Kluivert can immediately count on a place in the top eleven: “He is not a candidate for the basis. We have a lot of players who are fit and already in the rhythm because they have been playing here for longer, ”the trainer explained during a press moment on Thursday.

“He also had some problems getting into it in the first two or three days. But that’s normal, he hasn’t played for a long time. The last practice sessions were clearly better ”, said Nagelsmann, who called Kluivert a ‘candidate for the match selection’. The nine-time international of the Dutch national team is facing competition at Leipzig from players such as Emil Forsberg, Marcel Sabitzer, Dani Olmo, Christopher Nkunku and Youssef Poulsen for the attacking positions.

Leipzig, however, is facing a busy period, which means that Kluivert will normally play. Next Tuesday in the Champions League the meeting with Istanbul Basaksehir is scheduled and in the following weeks there will also be played against Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt will be the opponent in the Bundesliga in the coming period. The squatter with Bayern Munich is on the agenda on December 5.
