Internazionale went down on a visit to Bologna due to a huge blunder by keeper Ionut Radu. The team of trainer Simone Inzaghi lost 2-1 and was therefore unable to take over the lead in Serie A from city rivals AC Milan, who has collected two more points. I Nerazzurri took the lead early with Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij in the team, but were defeated by goals from Marko Arnautovic and Nicola Sansone. At the same time, Atalanta was doing bad business in the battle for European football. With Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer in the starting line-up, the team drew at home against Torino: 4-4. Due to the draw, Atalanta remains in eighth place.

Bologna – Inter Milan 2-1
Perisic beautifully gave Inter the lead in Bologna. The Croat started a combination with Nicolò Barella from the right flank, after which he gated Musa Barrow and blasted the ball into the short corner. Where Lautaro Martínez should have put Inter on a double lead, Bologna on the other hand scored out of the blue. A measured cross from Barrow was headed in by Arnautovic. For the former FC Twente player, it was the third game in a row that he scored. Five minutes later, on a pass from Perisic, Dumfries had the 1-2 on his head, but he couldn’t head the ball enough to the ground.

Inter went looking for the lead in the second half and were close to a goal via a long shot from Federico Dimarco. Martínez had another chance to score the liberating goal with a header from a corner, but failed again in the completion. Ten minutes before the end, Bologna took the lead due to a horrific error of judgment by Radu. The keeper misjudged a throw-in, causing Nicola Sansone to send the home fans into ecstasy with one last push against the ball. Inter thought they would score the equalizer three minutes later, but a scrimmage in front of goal was cleared by Bologna at the last minute. Inter did not get any further than this moment, causing it to crash and fail to take over the lead from AC Milan.

Atalanta – Torino 4-4
The visitors from Turin boldly took the lead through Antonio Sanabria, who was able to shoot the ball in from close range on a pass from Dennis Praet. After fifteen minutes, Luis Muriel was able to equalize from eleven meters after ex-PSV player Ricardo Rodriguez put down Davide Zappacosta in the penalty area. Hateboer thought he would give Atalanta the lead three minutes later, but was flagged back for offside. De Roon did manage to score: from a corner from Muriel, the Dutchman slammed the leather against the ropes on the edge of the penalty area.

Before half time, however, Torino equalized again via a penalty from Sasa Lukic, who was allowed to use the opportunity after Remo Freuler fouled Sanabria. Lukic was again successful after an hour from a penalty, this time given by a foul by Rafael Tolói. When Freuler clumsily outwitted his own goalkeeper, the damage seemed done for Atalanta. However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team did not give up and came closer to Torino via a connecting goal from Marko Pasalic, after which a new penalty from Muriel, given by the VAR after a handball, completed the comeback.
