Memphis Depay is completely incomprehensible about a yellow card he received on Friday evening in the match against Stade Reims (1-1). The captain of Olympique Lyon was brought down hard by Nyasha Munetsi, but got a yellow card from referee Jérôme Brisard himself.

The game had been underway for half an hour when Depay got the ball. While he was in action, he was pushed to the ground by Munetsi. Brisard would have seen a schwalbe in it and therefore punished Depay with a yellow print. Depay does not understand it and shows his incomprehension on Twitter. At 03.04 am he shared the images on social media: “I got yellow for this …”, said Depay, who adds a cynical applause to his tweet.

Not long after Depay’s yellow card, Lyon fell behind due to a goal from Mathieu Cafaro. For a long time it seemed that Lyon would return home without points, but just before time it was Tino Kadewere who saved a point for the club from the South of France on a pass from Depay.
