Torino and Juventus shared the points in the Derby della Mole on Saturday evening. Both teams failed to score in Turin: 0-0. Juventus remains third, but knows that Bologna can close within two points a few hours later with a win over Monza.

Massimiliano Allegri was unable to call on Arkadiusz Milik due to a muscle injury. The Italian coach therefore once again opted for a two-man vanguard. Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic had to provide the danger up front.

Vlahovic had the perfect opportunity to give the visitors the lead in the opening phase. Chiesa raced down the right flank past his direct opponent and passed straight to the Serbian striker, who hit the post from close range.

Juve continued to hunt for the opening goal in the first fifteen minutes. After a smooth attack, ball was lost, but Chiesa soon managed to intercept again. Andrea Cambiaso was played in the Torino box and laid it back to Manuel Locatelli. The midfielder then saw his effort fly narrowly over the opponent's goal.

La Vecchia Signora continued to create opportunities. The ball suddenly ended up at Vlahovic's feet with half an hour on the clock. However, this time the attacker came across closing post Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who quickly reduced his goal.

Torino had little trouble in the first act, but immediately after the break they quickly thought they could break the spell through Duván Zapata. The celebration only lasted a short time, because referee Fabio Maresca blew the whistle for a minor foul by Raoul Bellanova on Filip Kostic.

The home team seemed to have thrown off the hesitation after the disallowed goal. It led to another great opportunity. This time Pablo Sarabia did not head far enough into the corner, allowing Wojciech Szczesny to make the save. The entertainment value decreased considerably after this, resulting in a goalless draw. Substitute Valentino Lazaro (header over) almost gave Torino the victory.
