More and more details are coming out about Mohamed Ihattaren’s contacts with mocromafia criminals. Earlier on Monday it was announced that suspects came to court in a car from Ihattaren for the Marengo trial and crime reporter John van den Heuvel later states in a video item from The Telegraph that the attacking midfielder of Ajax went to visit criminals in prison.

The crime journalist, who previously reported on the absence of Ihattaren at Ajax, reported on Monday that the footballer was recently seen in prison. “He has visited quite a few criminals in prison,” says Van den Heuvel at The Telegraph. “Even last Tuesday, when he resumed training, he was seen in a penitentiary in Alphen aan den Rijn. What is such a boy doing there? I have no idea what he came to do there.” Earlier on Monday, the journalist reported to Along the line on NPO Radio 1 that the car of Ihattaren, which is leased from Ajax, was used by criminals.

Van den Heuvel then announced that police officers observed that people with criminal antecedents were in the vicinity of Ihattaren and his family. According to the sources, they would even have been in the car of Ihattaren made available by Ajax. Here he went Along the line on in. “It has been seen that members of the mocromafia who have to stand trial in the Marengo trial went in Ihattaren’s car to the trial in the bunker in Amsterdam Osdorp,” said Van den Heuvel, who spoke about this news on Sunday evening. The Telegraph elaborated something else. “Ihattaren’s car, which at one point was heavily threatened by criminals, caught fire. Presumably due to arson. This happened a while ago.”

Ajax itself labeled Ihattaren as ‘not fit’, but The Telegraph previously announced that there would be more play around the attacking midfielder annex right winger. At the beginning of August, Ihattaren started an individual training program to stay physically fit, Ajax reported on its own club site. Ajax then entered into a conversation with the player to see how the follow-up process will go. After his temporary absence due to (presumed) threats in the private sphere, the midfielder is struggling with a slight physical disadvantage, which must be eliminated in order to be able to join the A-selection. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax also wants to offer Ihattaren the option of mental guidance.
