PSV’s line-up for the away game against Willem II is known. Trainer Roger Schmidt can again use Ibrahim Sangaré and Mario Götze in the regional derby on Saturday afternoon. The two immediately appear at the starting signal. The duel in the Koning Willem II Stadium is led by Kevin Blom and will start at 4.30 pm.

Sangaré (out of circulation since the previous international match) and Götze (dropped out during the squatter against Feyenoord) have recovered from their respective injuries. PSV has to miss Noni Madueke against Willem II due to a slight muscle injury. It appears that his problem is not serious and he will rejoin the Eindhoven team for the international match.

PSV have only won two of their last six away games against Willem II in the Eredivisie: two draws, two defeats. One of the victories was booked last season: 0-2 in May this year. Willem II failed to score in eight of the last eleven Eredivisie matches with PSV, including in the last three; the Tricolores are already 296 minutes without an Eredivisie goal against the Eindhoven team.

Willem II can win three times in a row in the competition for the first time since December 2019. The Tilburg players are on four wins after the first six Eredivisie games of this season. Only once did Willem II book the fifth victory of a year in or before the seventh round of an Eredivisie season: in 1995/96.

PSV line-up: drum; Mwene, Ramalho, Boscagli, Max; Sangare, Van Ginkel, Doan, Gotze, Gakpo; Zahavi.
