Ron Jans believes that an amount of ten million euros should not be enough to pluck Ramiz Zerrouki away from FC Twente. With this, the coach is responding to Feyenoord’s alleged interest. The Stadium Club is already looking for a successor for Fredrik Aursnes, who can leave for Benfica, and Zerrouki is seriously in the picture.

There would also have been talks with Twente, which, through technical director Jan Streuer, says that it is polite enough to hear Feyenoord’s proposals. However, he has no intention of selling Zerrouki and Jans comes up with words to that effect. “The only thing I can really say about it is that there is actually no one for sale with us anymore,” he said in front of the camera of ESPN.

Where the trainer actually did not want to say anything about a possible amount that should be paid for Zerrouki, he did so after a suggestion from the reporter. The latter stated that Twente could not refuse an offer of ten million. “I don’t know if that’s enough,” Jans responds. “Feyenoord has already deposited a nice amount for another midfielder and you can make a comparison with that in terms of quality. But it is not wise if a trainer starts talking about prices.”

It is not very strange that FC Twente prefers not to sell Zerrouki. Technical director Streuer managed to keep the selection largely intact. Only Jayden Oosterwolde left for Parma, while Michel Vlap, Michal Sadílek, Sem Steijn, Przemyslaw Tyton and Issam El Maach were presented as acquisitions. Vlap and Sadílek already played on a rental basis in De Grolsch Veste last season and made the definitive switch to FC Twente during the summer transfer window.
