The formations of Real Madrid and Manchester City for the return match in the semi-finals of the Champions League have been announced. Most notable in Real Madrid’s line-up is Rodrygo’s reserve spot, while Kyle Walker has been found fit enough to start in the starting lineup with the visitors. The game kicks off at 9pm at the Santiago Bernabeu; Manchester City won the first meeting 4-3.

Real Madrid’s line-up has no big surprises. In the run-up to the squatter, the only question was whether Carlo Ancelotti would choose Federico Valverde or Rodrygo. Although Rodrygo scored the first two goals in the championship game against Espanyol (4-0) on Saturday, the choice fell on Valverde. The Spanish media already assumed this before the game. In the back, Nacho replaces the injured David Alaba.

At Manchester City, Nathan Ake has to make do with a place on the bench. The defender remained sidelined for 90 minutes last week, but then scored in the league game with Leeds United (0-4). There was then a place for Aké in the defense because Walker was injured, but he has been found fit enough and will start as right back. Raheem Sterling played 90 minutes against Leeds, but will start on the bench just like in last week’s home game.

Real Madrid line-up:: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Nacho, Mendy, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Benzema.

Manchester City line-up: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo; Mahrez, Foden, Jesus.
