Isaac Babadi has suffered an injury, it writes Eindhovens Dagblad. The midfielder was injured during Thursday's training and was seen using crutches afterwards. “There are concerns,” said club watcher Rik Elfrink.

It remains to be seen exactly how serious Babadi's injury is. Elfrink reports that research is needed to determine the exact severity. It may take some time before there is clarity, it sounds like.

Elfrink has inquired with PSV, which indicates that it cannot provide any further details and cannot rule anything out. “But there are concerns,” said the club watcher.

It is not the first time this season that Babadi has been in the rag. He previously had to miss around five games between the end of September and mid-October.

The new injury is a hard blow for Babadi, as he has just extended his contract. The midfielder, who was coveted by Ajax and Feyenoord, is now fixed at the Philips Stadium until mid-2028.

So far this season, Peter Bosz has called on Babadi 22 times in all competitions. He was accurate twice in this regard. He also played six times for the U23 team in the Kitchen Champion Division (two goals and two assists).

PSV still has five games to play in the Eredivisie this season. The home game against Vitesse awaits next Saturday, after which Sparta Rotterdam and RKC Waalwijk will also come to Eindhoven. In between, Bosz's team will visit SC Heerenveen and Fortuna Sittard.

Bosz could not rely on Hirving Lozano, Ricardo Pepi and Ismael Saibari against AZ. Noa Lang is also still in need. The question is whether the latter will still play this season.
