UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Jose Mourinho. The AS Roma coach went completely crazy on Wednesday after the lost Europa League final against Sevilla (1-1, 4-1) and insulted the British referee Anthony Taylor to the bone. In England people are clamoring for a mega suspension. Mourinho is toxic and his rant against Anthony Taylor must have major consequences The Telegraph.

Footage showed how the temperamental Mourinho confronted Taylor after midnight in a parking garage of the Puskás Aréna. The AS Roma coach accuses the referee of ‘blowing’ the match with too many yellow cards and also wanted a penalty after a handball from Sevilla midfielder Fernando. Mourinho wished Taylor, who was taken away in a van, everything in English and Italian, calling him, among other things, “a fucking disgrace.” “He looks like a Spanish referee,” Mourinho added.

The Telegraph stands up for compatriot Taylor and demands that Mourinho be dealt with. The scenes at Budapest airport were unacceptable. “Mourinho is like a bully on the playground and the only way to stop him is to impose strict sanctions.” Taylor was insufficiently protected by UEFA afterwards, according to the newspaper.

“The lack of security that Taylor had in that underground car park is astonishing, and that is the fault of UEFA. There would have been a match delegate and an observer, but that is not enough. What we saw was unprecedented, vicious and very disturbing.” The Telegraph believes that Mourinho should be suspended for ten matches. “People will say that’s excessive, but he deserves it. Mourinho and others think they can get away with anything.”
