Juventus and AC Milan kept each other in balance on Saturday evening in the Serie A. Both teams did not score and therefore saw the same score on the board after ninety minutes as at kick-off: 0-0. This puts Milan on 70 points from 34 matches, while Juventus is one place lower with 65 points from as many matches.

At Milan, the past week was all about licking the wounds, after Monday, of all days, in a mutual match, the title had to be left to arch-rival and city rivals Internazionale.

Like Milan, Juventus is already practically assured of Champions League football and is preparing for this season's dessert when it faces Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final on May 15.

Massimiliano Allegri's team has not achieved more than a draw in the past two matches and could come within two points of the Milanese with a win over Milan. However, the duel between the two superpowers did not come to fruition.

Just before half time, Dusan Vlahovic had the opportunity to give Juventus the lead when he was allowed to take a free kick from the edge of the box. The Serbian tried in the bottom right corner, but found Marco Sportiello in his way.

Even after the break, the veteran turned out to be an obstacle for Juventus. For example, he prevented Filip Kostic from scoring. On the other hand, Ruben Loftus-Cheek killed an opportunity. The attacker tried with a cannonball, but saw his effort narrowly miss the post.

In the final phase, Juventus thought they could still take the full prize, when Sportiello grabbed and Arkadiusz Milik pushed the ball towards the goal. However, Malick Thiaw barely managed to keep the former Ajax player's effort off the goal line.
