Fenerbahçe is not giving up the fight for the title in the Turkish Süper Lig. The number two won 2-1 at home against rival Besiktas on Saturday, partly thanks to a nice assist from Dusan Tadic. The gap to leader Galatasaray, which won 0-3 against Adana Demirspor on Friday, is four points. Four more rounds will be played in Turkey this season.

Particularities:

Besiktas had to play with ten players halfway through the first half. After a check by VAR Pol van Boekel, Al Musrati received a direct red card for a rough charge on Fred. The latter had to be treated for a long time, but was able to continue. A few minutes later, the home team got away well when Michy Batshuayi made hands in the box. However, the ball did not hit the spot.

It was Batshuayi who signed for the 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. The attacker scored from close range after Dusan Tadic expertly took a long ball on his chest and prepared it for Batshuayi. Former Feyenoord player Sebastian Szymanski reached Irfan Can Kahveci twenty minutes before the end, who beautifully let the ball disappear into the left corner: 2-0. Cenk Tosun did something back in the final phase, but that was not enough for Besiktas to prevent a defeat in the Istanbul derby.
