PSV acquisition Sávio played his first minutes for the promise team of the Eindhoven team on Friday evening in the away match against Willem II (1-1). In front of his parents, the eighteen-year-old Brazilian was allowed to start in the team of trainer Adil Ramzi. Although Sávio was substituted at half time, he speaks opposite the Eindhovens Dagblad about the happiest day of his life.

“This was the best day of my life. As a child I dreamed of this opportunity. I owe PSV a lot of thanks for letting me make my debut on European soil,” Sávio told the local newspaper. PSV is doing everything it can to make the Brazilian feel at home at the club. Since this week, the attacker has his own house in Best, near Eindhoven. Sávio does not live there alone, because his parents also came to the Netherlands.

For the cameras of ESPN Sávio made a refreshing impression afterwards. He spoke to the reporter with a big smile. He also indicated that the fans of the Eindhoven team can expect a lot from him in the coming season when the reporter ordered him to show the public even more ‘samba’. “You can count on that, thank you”, after a firm handshake, he left the mixed zone beaming.

Although Sávio could not be decisive for Jong PSV against the Tilburg players, he already showed flashes of what he has to offer with a few individual actions. Twice after a solo he went to his strong left leg, after which his efforts just missed the target. Ramzi’s team made it quite difficult for Willem II on Friday evening during the return to the Kitchen Champion Division. After almost an hour of play Mathijs Tielemans managed to open the score in favor of the Eindhoven team. Five minutes later, Willem II midfielder Max Svensson put the equalizer on the scoreboard. A final offensive by the Tricolores did not lead to a victory, as a result of which Willem II started the new season with a loss of points.
