Noor Omrani thinks that the players of Feyenoord have a lot on their plate. The girlfriend of right back Marcus Pedersen experiences up close what is involved when you play for the Rotterdam club. In the podcast FHM’s Women at the Top the subject is discussed in detail. Omrani has had a relationship with the fourteen-time international of Norway since the end of last year.

In .’s podcast FHM comparison is made between football and hockey. The 22-year-old Omrani is a professional hockey player at Den Bosch and Jong Oranje, but thinks that Pedersen should be a lot more resilient on a mental level while practicing his profession. “I think football is a hundred times harder mentally compared to hockey. You not only have to deal with your teammates and coach, but also with those fifty thousand people who come to watch every game and the media.”

Then Omrani argues it more extensively. “You can have played badly in hockey and that’s it, but if I take Feyenoord as an example. All those sites, all those media, those 1500 responses to FR12. That’s pure trash talk, if you haven’t scored or haven’t given the pass that fans want to see.” FR12 is a popular news-gathering website among Feyenoord fans.

Omrani thinks that online reactions can have a lot of influence on players, although she goes on to say that Pedersen is not bothered by this. “I think players read those comments. If you are mentally weaker, or if you are not feeling well, you are sometimes looking for confirmation. Marcus does not do that, although he can already read Dutch well.” Pedersen is currently having a mixed season at Feyenoord. In the last two league games, Lutsharel Geertruida was preferred by Arne Slot as right back.
