EA Sports has decided to also take measures against André Onana in FIFA 21. The 24-year-old Ajax goalkeeper, who is serving a 12-month doping suspension, has been removed from the popular football game. This applies to the offline modes, because Onana can still be used in FIFA Ultimate Team.

FIFA 21 is regularly updated to keep the game as truthful as possible. In the last update Onana was therefore removed from Ajax’s selection. Incidentally, Ron Vlaar can no longer be found in FIFA 21. The 36-year-old center-back of AZ recently decided to end his football career immediately.

Onana is still in Ultimate Team, the online mode that works with player cards. The Cameroonian player card is no longer circulated, but the cards already in the possession of players remain usable. As a result, Onana’s transfer value in Ultimate Team will likely increase as his player card becomes scarce.

Together with teammate Nicolás Tagliafico, Onana is the best player from the Eredivisie in FIFA 21 with a rating of 84. Ajax’s goalie is in nineteenth place when it comes to the best goalkeepers in the game. Manuel Neuer, Alisson Becker and Marc-André ter Stegen are the three top-rated goalkeepers in the game when it comes to the standard ratings set prior to the season.
