After the painful blow of Feyenoord against FC Copenhagen (0-7 loss), Arne Slot is doing everything he can to prevent a new failure, according to the line-up for the practice match against Red Bull Salzburg. Marcos Senesi, Gernot Trauner and Fredrik Aursnes, among others, are back in the base at Feyenoord. The match starts at 2.30 pm and can be followed live via the stream below.

Last Monday, the internationals joined Feyenoord’s training camp in Austria, so Slot has more flavors on Saturday afternoon than against Copenhagen. Orkun Kökcü is still missing at Feyenoord. He left the training camp last Wednesday due to illness. Feyenoord brought 18-year-old Dermane Karim to Saalfelden as a replacement, but logically he does not start in the base. After the departure of Tyrell Malacia, the left back position is particularly sparse, which means that right-footed Marcus Pedersen will have to deliver from the liner side.

Justin Bijlow is again under the bar, just like last week against Copenhagen. In the center, Mats Wieffer and Sem Valk are replaced by the experienced duo Gernot Trauner and Marcos Senesi. At right back, Lutsharel Geertruida takes over from Denzel Hall, while Slot opts for Marcus Pedersen on the left. Against Copenhagen, seventeen-year-old midfielder Mike Kleijn was in that position for the occasion.

In midfield, top talent Antoni Milambo makes way for Fredrik Aursnes. He will be supplemented on Saturday afternoon by Jorrit Hendrix and Jens Toornstra. That duo already started in the base against Copenhagen. Feyenoord will also play extra against Salzburg with an attacker. Mark Diemers’ place in the team is taken over by Alireza Jahanbakhsh who will play from the right. Danilo starts in the point and Patrik Walemark can try from the left flank.

Line-up Feyenoord: Bijlow; Pedersen, Trauner, Senesi, Geertruida; Hendrix, Aursnes, Toornstra; Jahanbakhsh, Danilo, Walemark
