Feyenoord has announced the third shirt for the 2022/23 season. The team from Rotterdam will play in a black and pink uniform during various away games in the upcoming season. A regular away kit will be presented at a later time. Feyenoord will wear the new third shirt for the first time on Saturday afternoon at 2.30 pm, in the practice match against Red Bull Salzburg.

Feyenoord is proud to announce the shirt on the club website. “The strong black in the uniform is combined with a bright pink everywhere. This neon color is reflected in the collar, three stripes on the shoulders, back print and partner statements. The shorts and socks are also primarily pink, although there is also a black variant in case the opponent’s outfit asks for it.”

Feyenoord has not only used its own selection players to promote the new shirt. Various well-known Rotterdammers are involved in the launch. Rapper ADF Samski and chef Herman den Blijker can be seen on billboards and screens throughout Rotterdam during the campaign. The reactions about the shirt are very divided on social media. Adidas receives a lot of criticism from some of the supporters after the presentation. The collaboration between Feyenoord and the German sports brand will end in the summer of 2023.

The club has already concluded a million-dollar deal with British clothing brand Castore. Castore has been working hard in recent years and is now a shirt sponsor of Rangers FC, Newcastle United and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, among others. The Rotterdammers will be working with Castore for six years. The Telegraph reported in February that the deal is very lucrative and will yield Feyenoord approximately eight million euros per season. The club itself would also have a say in the design of the shirts.
