Memphis Depay has been injured again, according to reports Marca and ASH. The Atlético Madrid attacker made his return last weekend in the city derby against Real Madrid, but dropped out again during training on Tuesday. He will miss, among other things, the Champions League match with Feyenoord next Wednesday.

Memphis has been struggling with injuries since coming from FC Barcelona to Atlético. For a moment, the attacker seemed to have recovered from an injury he had recently suffered, as he came in for his return seven minutes before the end on Sunday against Real. However, things went wrong again on Tuesday during a training session, resulting in Depay being sidelined for ‘several weeks’.

Since joining Atlético last January, Memphis has only managed to make an appearance in thirteen games. He was good for six goals. He had to miss thirteen games due to an injury. With Álvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann, coach Diego Simeone only has two pure attackers at his disposal.

Depay will in any case miss the next league matches against Osasuna and Cadíz. He also has to miss the meeting with Feyenoord next Wednesday. While the Rotterdam team started in Group E with a victory over Celtic, Atlético had to settle for a point against Lazio (1-1). Depay is not expected to be available again until November.
