Manchester United recorded a comfortable win in the Europa League on Thursday evening. On a visit to Sheriff Tiraspol, manager Erik ten Hag’s team was 0-2 too strong. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal under the Dutch pick, while it was also his first ever goal in the Europa League. Jadon Sancho took care of the opening goal after more than fifteen minutes of play. In Group E, the Red Devils are second behind Real Sociedad.

Ismael Saibari makes a decision and makes final international choice
Ismael Saibari opts for an international career with Morocco, he says in conversation with the Eindhovens Dagblad. The 21-year-old midfielder annex wing attacker could also choose to play for the national team of Belgium. However, he recently informed national coach Roberto Martínez in a telephone conversation that he would opt for the Lions of the Atlas.

Heerenveen receives death threat and speaks of ‘absolute low point’
A death threat was received at sc Heerenveen on Thursday, the club announced. The reason is the lawsuit that was filed and won by an employee. The subdistrict of Leeuwarden ruled on Wednesday that Hendrik Pasveer, the man who has been going through the stadium as mascot Heero for years, was wrongly fired by the Frisian club and must therefore be re-employed. Heerenveen has reported the threat to the police.
