Fenerbahçe booked a victory in the Turkish Süper Lig on Saturday. A visit to Kayserispor was won 1-2. Enner Valencia opened the score early on, after which Ferdi Kadioglu chased the ball from great distance into the intersection in the second act. The victory puts Fenerbahçe three points behind leader Galatasaray, which will not resume the competition until next Saturday after the recent earthquakes with a home game against Kasimpasa.
Fenerbahçe started the away game against Kayserispor with Kadioglu as right back. There were no supporters of it the Yellow Canaries welcome. In the game against Konyaspor (4-0 win), fans of the club sang songs about the Turkish government, which they would rather see go. The province of Kayseri then decided that no away supporters were welcome for Saturday’s Süper Lig game.

The visitors started strongly against Kayserispor. Within six minutes the lead was a fact, after Valencia convincingly headed a Lincoln cross behind the Dutch goalkeeper Bilal Bayazit: 0-1. The team of trainer Jorge Jesus kept control and managed to double the margin after the break. A short corner kick eventually ended up with Kadioglu, who then crossed the ball into the intersection from about 25 meters: 0-2.
Fenerbahçe’s victory was never in danger for a moment in the remainder of the game. Deep in injury time, Kadioglu had another huge chance to be accurate again, but this time hit the side net. Via a striking header from Arif Kocaman, the home team still signed for the 1-2 in the 96th, but referee Atilla Karaoglan immediately whistled off.
