FC Utrecht will lift the purchase option in the rental contract of midfielder Oscar Fraulo, the German writes BILD Thursday. As a result, the Domstedelingen will transfer around 2 million euros to Borussia Mönchengladbach next summer. Twenty-year-old Fraulo, youth international from Denmark, will then commit to Utrecht for several years.

Utrecht took over Fraulo on loan from Borussia Mönchengladbach at the end of August. Since then, the midfielder has played 28 official matches on behalf of Utregin which he scored 3 goals and 4 assists.

Transfer market estimates the current market value of Fraulo at around 3 million euros, but Utrecht will therefore pay a lower fee for his services. In that case, Borussia Mönchengladbach will not make a loss on Fraulo, who was acquired from FC Midtjylland for 2 million euros in the summer of 2022.

Ron Jans spoke extensively about the development of Fraulo in January. “FC Utrecht has few secrets for me as a trainer, but sometimes you are surprised. I had honestly never heard of the footballer Oscar Fraulo… But that boy can do something,” said the trainer opposite Football International.

Fraulo himself entered into conversation with VI briefly discusses the purchase option in his rental contract. “There is an option to purchase. I have good contact with Gladbach, but at the same time I have no idea where I will play next year. That doesn't matter to me at all right now. I am at FC Utrecht. I want to learn here, get better and be important to the team. And the better I do, the more will be possible in the future.”

Now it seems that the decision has been made: Utrecht would like to take over Fraulo permanently. On Wednesday evening, the Borussia Mönchengladbach media team was present at the home match against PEC Zwolle (5-1 win). Those Fohlen made a video about his adventure in the Eredivisie, among other things.

Fraulo broke through in Denmark as a youth product of Midtjylland, but left for Borussia Mönchengladbach at a young age. At the German mid-range, the right wing mainly played in the promise team, although he participated twice with the main squad. Due to his impending move to Utrecht, it seems that this will remain the case.
