Youri Regeer must become FC Twente’s first acquisition for the new season, Leon ten Voorde assures TC Tubantia. The club watcher takes in the podcast The Balls Mind already an advance on the approaching transfer summer and notices that there are developments in the Grolsch Veste. Ten Voorde also commented on possible outgoing transfers.
Presenter Frank Bussink drops Kevin Strootman’s name in the podcast. The Genoa midfielder comes through data agency’s Career Advise tool Sci Sports came out on top replacing Ramiz Zerrouki. According to Ten Voorde, however, there is no question of the arrival of the former the Dutch international, partly due to the presence of Michal Sadílek. Regeer is a more than serious option.
“I do have the feeling that things are going in the right direction with another player,” Ten Voorde responds to Bussink’s suggestion. “Emotionally, I think that FC Twente will announce the arrival of Youri Regeer in the foreseeable future. They have kept going. Twente would like to buy him, take over him permanently. I have the feeling that this will be the first newcomer for the new season. And I think that’s a good buy.”

Twente was not alone in the market for Regeer. SC Heerenveen also liked to see the nineteen-year-old talent come. Regeer was already in contact with head coach Kees van Wonderen last winter, but then had to see how Ajax was only open to a rental. FC Twente sees the defender annex midfielder as a candidate successor for Zerrouki, who moves to Feyenoord. In addition to Regeer, Twente also hopes to take over Anass Salah-Eddine from Ajax.
Streuer stays longer
FC Twente will announce on Monday afternoon that Streuer will remain with the club until September 1. The technical man thus grants a wish from Arnold Bruggink, who will be the new technical director as of 1 July. “There is a lot to do at the club, especially when it comes to transfers, it is and will remain a busy time.
