Faultless Bayern Munich too strong for Internazionale

Bayern Munich also won the last group match in the Champions League. Der Rekordmeister was 2-0 too strong for Internazionale at home, as a result of which it has won all group matches. Bayern therefore finishes as number one in Group C, while Inter as number two moves towards the knockout phase of the billion-dollar ball.

Ex-Ajacieds Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch started in the base at Bayern. Matthijs de Ligt was injured against FSV Mainz (6-2 win) and was therefore not there in the Allianz Arena. His replacement at the heart of the defense was Benjamin Pavard. The Frenchman, originally a right back, stood next to compatriot Dayot Upamecano. Robin Gosens gave a tight cross to the Argentine striker, but Martínez slipped the ball over the goal.

The Frenchman headed in a corner from captain Joshua Kimmich and put Bayern ahead: 1-0. Gravenberch decided halfway through the second half to target his ex-teammate Onana from a distance, but the Cameroonian was able to save quite easily. Less than a minute later Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting showed Gravenberch how to do it. The attacker shot hard at almost the same position in the intersection behind Onana: 2-0.
