Bayern Munich club management has scheduled a meeting before the official announcement of Julian Nagelsmann’s resignation, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter. The 35-year-old trainer is also expected soon at training complex Säbener Straße to discuss the handling of his contract (until mid-2026). Thomas Tuchel will start his new job on Monday as his successor. On Thursday evening, Romano already reported more about the painful way in which Nagelsmann received his resignation.

The German BILD announced the scoop on Nagelsmann’s dismissal on Friday the record master. According to Romano, the German trainer read in the media that he will get his congé in Munich. This will officially happen on Friday. According to Romano, there were serious problems between Nagelsmann and the Bayern club management. Also from the group of players there would be little confidence in the tactical choices of the German.

On Thursday it also immediately became clear who will succeed Nagelsmann in the Allianz Arena: Thomas Tuchel. The former coach of Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea is reportedly already on the training field at Bayern on Monday. On Thursday evening, the club would have already arranged the papers for Tuchel. The 49-year-old coach will start the hunt for his former employer Dortmund with his new club.

Bayern started the season mixed under Nagelsmann and only managed to win three of their first seven league games. Despite this, the club management maintained confidence, which the eminent trainer repaid with a run of thirteen games in a row without defeat. However, the last game before the international break was lost 2-1 at Bayer Leverkusen, so that the national champion has to settle for second place in the Bundesliga behind Dortmund. The deficit is one point.

However, Bayern competes on three fronts and will face Manchester City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The quarterfinals have also been reached in the national cup tournament. Mark Flek’s SC Freiburg is the opponent on April 4. Nevertheless, the confidence of the club management in Nagelsmann has been wiped out. The tactician’s performance earned him an agreement with Bayern in the spring of 2021, where he succeeded Hansi Flick. Bayern reportedly paid 25 million euros to Leipzig and made the German coach the most expensive trainer of all time. With Bayern, Nagelsmann won the national title once and the German Super Cup twice.
