Hans Kraay junior will remain active at ESPN for longer. The broadcaster of all Dutch professional football announced this on Monday. Kraay will be shown ‘exclusively’ on ESPN, the statement reads, and now has a contract until mid-2025. In addition, two new programs can be seen on the pay channel from next week.

Kraay was already one of the regular faces on ESPN and will remain so for the time being. He has now been fixed for three years and will continue to be seen on broadcasts around the Eredivisie and the Kitchen Champion Division. Kraay himself is very pleased with that. “I feel very much at home at ESPN,” the website reads. “Where else do you analyze the left back of Helmond Sport on Friday, interview the PSV trainer on Saturday and sit in Good morning Eredivisie next to the national coach?”

Program director Rob Labree is equally satisfied. “The versatility of Hans Kraay Jr. is unsurpassed. Presenting, interviewing, analyzing: he does it in his own distinctive style, which is loved by the ESPN viewer. In addition, he is praised time and again by viewers, colleagues and experts for his meticulous preparation, so we are happy to tie Kraay Jr. exclusively to ESPN until the 2024/25 season.”

The channel also comes with more news, because two new programs will be made. Every Tuesday after a weekend of Eredivisie football, Milan van Dongen and Fresia Cousiño Arias will record a podcast with a leading player from Dutch football. That will then be released as a podcast under the name ‘Fresia and Milan parking the bus’, but the recordings will also be filmed and can be seen on TV on the same Tuesday. In addition, there will be a program on Sunday afternoon, called ‘De Voetbalkantine’, in which current affairs and ‘everything that makes football so beautiful’ will be discussed.
