Borussia Dortmund is interested in Rasmus Kristensen, late BILD know. Those Boruses previously signed Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck to bolster the defense and now have their sights set on Red Bull Salzburg right-back. Kristensen has revived with the Austrians after a mediocre period at Ajax.

The Dane closed the door at Ajax behind him in the summer of 2019 after a year and a half. In Amsterdam he never managed to get a basic place in the main force under trainer Erik ten Hag after he was taken over from Midtjylland. Kristensen came to 27 matches at Ajax, which decided to take his loss and sell him to Red Bull Salzburg for five million euros.

With the Austrian leader, Kristensen immediately conquered a starting place and did not disappear from it. So far, the defender has made 106 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 14 goals and 19 assists. His good performances at the club are now sparking interest from Borussia Dortmund. Kristensen’s arrival does not appear to be a cheap operation for the Germans, as he has a contract with Red Bull Salzburg that will continue for three more seasons after this season.

Dortmund is already emphatically working on the details of its selection for next season and focuses mainly on the defense. The number two in the Bundesliga has already conceded fifty goals in the competition this season, which is considered excessive by the technical leadership. To solve this problem explained BVB Niklas Sule of Bayern Munich previously fixed, after which twenty million euros was also deposited for Nico Schlotterbeck of SC Freiburg.

Now it is the turn of the back positions at Dortmund. Outside Kristensen is according to BILD also Ramy Bensebaini in the picture. The 46-time Algerian international of competitor Borussia Mönchengladbach must strengthen the left wing of the defense. Bensebaini has been playing for Mönchengladbach since the summer of 2019 and has scored 18 goals and 7 assists in 81 appearances for the club. The left-back’s contract runs for another year after this season.
