Alireza Jahanbakhsh can count on serious interest from FC Utrecht. Trainer Henk Fraser sees the possible arrival of the wing attacker from Feyenoord, sources confirm on Sunday to the usually well-informed 1908.nl. Despite the interest, Utrecht has not yet made an offer for Jahanbakhsh, who will be in De Kuip until mid-2024. Feyenoord also has the option to extend the contract for a season.

It is not known whether Jahanbakhsh is interested in an interim transition to Utrecht. At Feyenoord, the winger (29) does not have to count on a permanent place in the vanguard. Trainer Arne Slot prefers Patrik Walemark and Javairô Dilrosun on the right flank. Against Vitesse (2-5 victory) and sc Heerenveen (0-0), the attacker coveted by Utrecht was used as a substitute.

Jahanbakhsh, who also struggled to secure a base place last season, also has to deal with competition at Feyenoord from Oussama Idrissi, Mohamed Taabouni and youth exponent Jaden Slory. A transfer to Utrecht could be a good solution for all parties, although it remains to be seen whether Feyenoord actually wants to get rid of Jahanbakhsh in the final phase of the summer transfer market.

With Moussa Sylla, Utrecht only has a right-footed wing attacker, which means that strengthening the selection is being looked at. The Domstedelingen have until August 31 to get Jahanbakhsh to De Galgenwaard. The bench seat of Feyenoord played for NEC, AZ and Brighton & Hove Albion earlier in his career.
