The departure of Denzel Dumfries from PSV has not yet been successful, it writes Eindhovens Dagblad Friday morning. The right-back is in the interest of Everton and already handed over his captain’s armband to Marco van Ginkel. A transfer therefore seemed imminent, but Dumfries is ‘normally’ expected again this weekend on the PSV training field.

A return of Dumfries to the PSV training field would be remarkable, because trainer Roger Schmidt indicated three weeks ago that he did not expect Dumfries and Donyell Malen to return to De Herdgang. For the latter, that prediction seems to come true, because Malen is on his way to Borussia Dortmund for an amount ‘about thirty million euros’. PSV and Borussia Dortmund are in broad agreement; Malen can sign with the top club from Germany until the summer of 2026.

The newspaper further adds that Pablo Rosario has been “seen by reliable sources on a flight to Nice in France”, but that a transfer has not yet been “confirmed anywhere”. Thursday night reported Foot Mercato that the midfielder is on his way to OGC Nice, who would like to complete the transfer in a few days. Rosario was a regular base player at PSV last season, but had to do it on Wednesday in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Galatasaray (5-1 win) with a substitute of a few minutes. Based on the preparation and the last game, the midfielder seems to have been surpassed in the pecking order by Ibrahim Sangaré, Marco van Ginkel and Davy Pröpper.

According to the Eindhovens Dagblad ‘Nothing concrete yet’ can be said about a possible transfer of Derrick Luckassen or Mohamed Ihattaren, who, like Malen and Rosario, are also assisted by Mino Raiola. Luckassen is not in PSV’s plans and is allowed to leave the club. He does not belong to Schmidt’s competition selections. Ihattaren is still under contract for another year and is therefore a candidate to make a transfer. Napoli would have inquired about him ‘a while ago’, but a departure is not concrete.
