A new mother in Chile has given her newborn baby a special name. The Hospital Hospital de Copiapó has announced on social media the birth of Griezmann Mbappé, the son of a Bolivian couple who have lived in Chile for four years. Since the announcement, the necessary jokes have been made on social media about the remarkable name.
That the baby’s name came out is purely coincidental. In several Spanish-speaking countries, it has been customary for several years now for hospitals to congratulate the parents of the last born baby of a calendar year and the parents of the first baby of the new calendar year around the turn of the year. Griezmann Mbappé was born at 9:09 p.m. local time on January 1, making it the first baby born in 2022 at the hospital of the Chilean city of Copiapó. The boy weighs 3064 grams and is 50 centimeters. The Chilean T13 writes, not surprisingly, that the parents of the newborn boy are big football fans.
They put together the name together: the father chose Griezmann and the mother Mbappé. A social media user has already created a photoshop image of what Griezmann Mbappé might look like as an adult. Another describes an imaginary conversation between the mother and a later child the couple could have: “Mommy, why did you call my brother Griezmann Mbappe?” “Because your father likes football.” “Thanks Mom.” “You’re welcome, noodles with sauce.” Jokes are also made about the pressure on the boy, which is said to be higher than that on Benjamín Agüero, the son of Sergio Agüero and grandson of Diego Maradona.
