Next season Davide Zappacosta will once again be active on a rental basis in the Serie A. Chelsea is announcing through the official channels that the 28-year-old wing defender will be leased to Genoa. Zappacosta also played temporarily in his homeland in the past year, but a rental period at AS Roma fell into the water due to a crossbelt injury.

In the summer of 2017, Chelsea deposited 25 million euros to release Zappacosta from Torino. The thirteen-time Italian international, who previously wore the shirt of Isola Liri, Atalanta and Avellino, was employed by the Blues up to 52 official appearances, but hasn’t been in the plans of manager Frank Lampard since last summer. Last season he joined AS Roma temporarily for nine performances, a number that was limited by a calf and cross band injury.

So now Zappacosta returns to Serie A, where he starts working for Genoa. Lasse Schöne’s employer strikes a double blow on Saturday morning, as Marko Pjaca is also presented in Genoa. The 25-year-old Croatian wing forward, who has been active in the past for Dinamo Zagreb, Schalke 04, Fiorentina and Anderlecht, among others, will be hired from Juventus until the end of the season.
