Carel Eiting is on his way to Huddersfield Town. His fiduciary Guido Albers has Friday afternoon at the Algemeen Dagblad and The Telegraph confirmed that if all the paperwork is done, the midfielder will play a season on a rental basis in England. Earlier in the day Albers posted a photo on social media of Eiting and himself at Schiphol Airport.

Eiting chooses eggs for his money with his transition to Huddersfield Town. The 22-year-old midfielder had little prospect of playing time next season, as he faced stiff competition from players such as Lisandro Martínez, Edson Álvarez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohammed Kudus.

At Huddersfield, Eiting will hope to make more minutes. The Terriers played two seasons ago in the Premier League, but finished in eighteenth place in the Championship. With Terence Kongolo, Eiting could meet a fellow countryman in Huddersfield, although there is talk in England of a possible departure of the defender to Fulham.

For Eiting, his employment with Ajax comes to a temporary end after thirteen years. The midfielder enlisted in youth training in 2007 and has made it to 31 matches in the main force. His contract in Amsterdam will continue until mid-2022.
