Leonardo Bonucci will take Juventus to court, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter. The 36-year-old center defender of 1. FC Union Berlin is angry about the way the Old lady initiated his departure. Bonucci believes that he was treated incorrectly during the preparation for the current season and is demanding compensation for the lack of training opportunities. For the 121-time Italy international, it is not about the money, but it has become a matter of principle. He transfers any income to charity: Neuroland.

Many Juventus fans see Bonucci as a club icon, as he played no fewer than 502 official matches for the club. The man marker was good for 37 goals and 10 assists. Bonucci became national champion eight times with Juve, won the Coppa Italia four times and won the Italian Super Cup five times. Yet he left Turin in painful fashion last summer. The veteran was no longer allowed to go to the United States for a training camp, despite his ongoing contract.

Bonucci believes that the club has done him an injustice by getting rid of a big earner so easily. The right leg was kicked out of the selection and was no longer allowed to enter the club’s gym, swimming pool and restaurant. Bonucci concludes that he has also suffered damage to his image due to the humiliating exodus from his former employer, which he is therefore taking to court.

Bonucci will transfer any compensation directly to Neuroland. Neuroland supports families of children admitted to the children’s hospitals in Turin. Another part of the possible proceeds goes to Live Onlus, which donates defibrillators to sports clubs, schools and municipalities. Juventus eventually let Bonucci leave on a free transfer to Union, where he is fixed until the end of this season. If both parties like the collaboration, Bonucci can stay in Berlin for an extra season.
