Bayern Munich lost very long points in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon. The team of coach Julian Nagelsmann seemed on its way to a victory for a long time, until Matthijs de Ligt caused a penalty in injury time. Jamal Musiala and Mathys Tel had of the Rekordmeister up to two times ahead. At 17 years old and 136, the latter was the youngest player to ever play for Bayern in a Bundesliga match. His goal also makes him the youngest goalscorer ever for of the Rekordmeister at the highest German football level. Bayern will meet Barcelona on Tuesday in the second round of the Champions League.

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui also kicked off on behalf of the home team on Saturday afternoon. The starting position for the right-back is especially remarkable, since Nagelsmann did not call on him very often and there was already internal criticism of Mazraoui’s attitude. Ryan Gravenberch started on the bench. Nagelsmann had nice words for the midfielder who came over from Ajax and promised him playing time soon, but said beforehand that Leon Goretzka would be preferred against Stuttgart.

Bayern clearly had the dominance on the field in the initial phase, but were unable to convert this into significant opportunities. The first time the home team became really dangerous was after half an hour of play, when both Tel and Serge Gnabry (rebound) failed to score. Stuttgart mainly lurked for the switch, but barely made it. With the second good opportunity of Nagelsmann’s team, it was hit. After an attack from the left, Alphonso Davies hurled the ball in front of the goal, after which Tel made an effective strike with the left. The attacker, who came over from Stade Rennes, became the youngest goalscorer ever on behalf of Bayern in the Bundesliga.

Soon in the second half, Stuttgart thought they would come alongside. Serhou Guirassy found the net, but committed a foul in the run-up to the goal and saw the party cancelled. Five minutes later, teammate Chris Führich was accurate. The substitute took full advantage of Davies’ sloppy loss of the ball and left Manuel Neuer. no chance. Bayern, however, was not upset for very long and took the lead for the second time five minutes after the equalizer. On a pass from Mazraoui, Musiala hit the left corner. The attacker cut his left leg cleverly and lashed out flawlessly.

Mazraoui went out immediately after the goal and saw goalkeeper Florian Müller save well with his feet on a bet by Gnabry. After Guirassy had hit the bottom of the bar on behalf of the visitors, De Ligt became the big schlemiel of the afternoon. The defender was late to his direct opponent, hit him on the foot and saw the referee point to the spot after the intervention of the VAR. De Ligt also received a yellow card and saw the penalty kick used by Guirassy in the second minute of injury time: 2-2.
