Barcelona have reached an agreement with Athletico Paranaense on the transfer of Vitor Roque, as you know Mundo Deportivo report Sunday afternoon. The Brazilian attacker is about to make the switch for a fixed amount of 35 million euros plus ten million euros in bonuses. The eighteen-year-old center forward will sign a contract that will bind him to Barcelona until mid-2028.

According to reports, all parties involved have already agreed verbally and only the last wrinkles have to be ironed out. After next Wednesday’s Série A match against São Paulo, the signatures are said to be made and Vitor Roque will be signed definitively. Alexandre Mattos, president of Athletico Paranaense, has been in Barcelona for the past few days to discuss the details of the transfer.

The Spanish sports newspaper reports that Barcelona will include a buyout clause of one billion euros in the contract. The transfer fee of 35 million euros will be spread over three years; it is not yet clear when the bonuses must be paid. Barcelona will still have to cut salaries significantly in order to comply with LaLiga’s Financial Fairplay rules and register Vitor Roque for next season.

Vitor Roque is seen as a top talent who was also in the interest of Chelsea, among others. Since his switch from Cruzeiro to Athletico PR in April 2022, the striker has made 25 official appearances, scoring ten times and providing five assists. Since his debut in June 2022, he scored six goals in eleven international matches with Young Brazil, while he made his debut in March 2023 in the Brazilian national team. In the lost exhibition game with Morocco (2-1), the center forward played for 25 minutes.
