The financially troubled Barcelona can make a big double in the closing days of the summer transfer window. The club is well on its way to selling Emerson Royal and Ilaix Moriba, reports said Mundo Deportivo. Tottenham Hotspur want to take over Emerson, while RB Leipzig has been pulling Moriba for some time.

Barcelona are close to an agreement with Tottenham, who will pay around €30million for Emerson. Although the 22-year-old right back started on Sunday against Getafe (2-1 win), Ronald Koeman seems to be able to live with his departure. Emerson gives Barcelona the necessary financial air, while Koeman has sufficient alternatives on the right wing with Sergiño Dest, Sergi Roberto and Òscar Mingueza.

Emerson was acquired by Barcelona in 2019 for twelve million euros from Atlético Mineiro and immediately loaned to Betis for two seasons. That arrangement included that Betis was entitled to a share of the resale percentage for Emerson. Barcelona bought off that clause by transferring nine million euros to Betis this summer. Emerson played in the first three league games this season, two of which briefly as a substitute. Those were immediately all his matches in the Barcelona shirt.

The departure of Moriba is also located according to Mundo Deportivo in the final phase. The eighteen-year-old midfielder does not want to renew his expiring contract with Barcelona and has set his sights on a transfer to RB Leipzig. The German club has had a personal deal with Moriba for some time and is also close to an agreement with Barcelona. The Catalans are satisfied with an amount of fifteen million euros plus some bonuses, where the asking price was initially twenty million euros. Moriba is stranded in eighteen official matches for Barça, in which he scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists.
